Blue is one of the easiest colors to decorate with. Blue will appeal to a wide range of people because it is a calm and relaxing color.
In Feng Shui, blue corresponds to the water element. This element connects to flowing water, so if you place a water feature in a water room, you are balancing the existing energies there. Water is a support for the career area of your home. Water is also a also seen as a positive activator that can help accumulate wealth, increasing your prosperity, as it is always moving positive Chi energy around the home.
Blue is a soothing color. Emotionally, it can help release tensions and help you unwind.
You might not want to use Blue in an already cold space, because it will tend to cool a room even more. You also may not want to use it in a room without much natural light as darker shades of blue can sometimes feel depressing and gloomy.
Blue accommodates very well with Browns as this color is much warmer and balances the coolness of the blue creating a better balance. Blue and Brown make a perfect color combination for a sophisticated office or living room design.
