BEFORE AND AFTER PICTURES THE ART COLLECTORS' HOME LIVING ROOM
This home is the top floor of an 1900 Brownstone in the heart of Hoboken NJ. We kept the brownstone charm with beautiful crown moldings, high ceilings and furnishing and paired it with very modern elements.
We transformed it into a modern apartment for a young energetic couple who collect art pieces throughout their travels. They wanted to integrate most of their personal art collection and to make the apartment as modern and high tech as possible while keeping the classic brownstone flair.
The art collection is present throughout the entire space in the form of paintings, objects, memorabilia but also furnishing.
How we did it?
Those are some of the main pieces that helped us transformed this raw place into a high-end modern living-room.
-The Charcoal Walnut hardwood flooring upgrades the look of the living room. It provides a rich warm tone to the space.
-The rug is art to the floor. Its unique abstract design stands out in the decor bringing texture and warmth.
-The custom-made cabinetry in gray oak and glass showcases an eclectic art collection of curiosities and memorabilia. Making these built ins perfect conversational pieces!
-The French Fireplace mantel inspired by Louis XVI design in Carrara marble enhances the architecture of this classic brownstone room. A special highlight is added by a custom mosaic loop design in white & grey glass with variations of gold.
- The one of a kind Artwork is original and sets the tone with a vivid color.
-The elegant window treatment were custom-made. They frame the windows beautifully and add a soft layer to the space.
